marware gooey residue macbook

A recent convert into the wonderful world of Apple stuff, I gleefully bought the Marware Protection Pack for my 15" MacBook Pro out of over-indulgent peripheral-joy. I naively believed what it said on the package: "leaves no residue." After a week or so of having the pad stuck on the laptop I was fiddling with the corner of it and peeled it back a tad. Lo and behold there was sticky residue left on the MacBook! Ack! So I tried another corner and sure enough the marketing BS was indeed BS. So I pulled the whole thing off and spent the next hour rubbing all the sticky gooey residue off the MacBook.
