We dropped Netflix when they start throttling our movie dispursement. Much happier with Blockbuster... still don't get the newest new releases right away, but the in-store return/exchange is totally sweet. We never mail 'em back anymore, when we want a movie just take one of the online ones in to the sture and trade it across. Also soon as they check it in at the store the next one in our queue mails out.

well, i spose since i'm now out of the IT racket i just don't care for anything but the indulgent user experience and thus could care lessabout running and maintaining more than one OS anymore. i do still carry around a bootable Knoppix USB drive for emergencies but fuck mana i really don't wanna deal with more than one OS, for more reasons than just bias towards a particular platform = OS's take up space than could be otherwise occupied by render folders, audio libraries, et al.

give us cloud computing aready!

interesting thoughts on vendors, tho.

food for thought.

Nah, it works fine. You just gotta install the netflix player on your windows machine and get over yourself. I've watched a couple docs through the player. I don't understand what the big deal is or why that sucks, unless it's because it won't work on your expensive as all hell mac.

Anyway, that's good news that Blockbuster here does the mail-in exchange. Last I heard blockbuster in Alaska wasn't participating in that program so it seemed pointless to switch from Netflix to Blockbuster if they are the same. Besides, I think that throttling business from a year and a half ago was BS. I actually get my netflix movies faster than I used to before.

Not to mention Netflix = independent company with exotic and hard to find indie titles. Blockbuster = frickin Viacom, a POS media giant that censors which titles to carry, almost blocked Farenheit 9/11, and influencess the MPAA before movies are even shown in theatres to make movies more appealing in their stores and other outlets later.
