I'm a PC Ad Imagery Made on a Mac

A savvy geek perusing Microsoft's website for its new "I'm a PC" ad campaign pulled down some JPGs and looked at their meta data. Turns out they were produced on a Mac:

This was discovered by Flickr user LuisDS.

I can only assume the videos themselves were produced with Final Cut on Macs as well.

Keyboards are so Lame

Keyboards are so Lame. I mean, how ridiculous is it for us to physically type each and every single letter in a sentence, including punctuation!? Hasn't technology improved a bit over the last 80 years? Why are we still using keyboards?

8 Steps to a 10.5.3 Leo Hackintosh (badaxe2)

A while back I posted the recipe for my Leopard Hackintosh. I've re-done it now to work with OSX v10.5.3.

Components
- Intel D975BX2X2 (Bad Axe2) motherboard
- Nvidia 7800GTX 256MB PCI-E video card.
- 3GB RAM
- Intel Q6600 CPU
- WD Raptor 150GB 10K RPM HDD
- Pioneer IDE DVD/RW
- Apple Leopard (I purchased this so I wouldn't feel guilty and so I could put the Apple logo sticker on the chassis).

The Steps

1) Burn the Kalyway 10.5.2 ISO. This can be gotten from your favorite bittorrent tracker. I learned the hard way that it's important to A) burn the ISO at 4x and B) take care not to scratch it. Seems the installer isn't very robust when it comes to minor DVD defects. Or, perhaps I was using crappy blanks.

Leopard Getting Stacks Update

In my assessment of Apple's Leopard operating system a few weeks ago ("Leopard Doesn't Quite Stack Up") I complained about the new Stacks feature. Namely that the icons are lame and the lack of a list view like there was in Tiger was anti-functional.

OSX 10.5 review, Leopard, doesn't quite Stack Up.

I must say I'm disappointed in Apple's latest major OS update, OSX version 10.5 "Leopard". Perhaps I haven't caught the correct vibe, or learned all the tricks yet, but it just seems like I'm paying the cost of having to spend more time getting to my files in exchange for some pretty bells. Considering the 2+ years of development time, I have to admit I expected more from Leopard.
