Latest Intel CPUs kill AMD

"After a year of domination by Core2, it seems more like business as usual" that Intel's latest CPUs smash AMD's even further. Not only are they easier to maintain (driver-wise), more compatible generally, but even more so outperform the competition: Intel Core 2 refreshed - QX6850 and E6750.
Old technology vs. New

Call me a luddite, but I'm still crazy about old 35mm cameras. I am not sure what it is, but the simplicity of it, coupled with the feel of all senses involved is exciting. Case in point:

quad-core cost comparison (Apple vs Interpro)

With the release this morning of Apple's new Mac Pro Quad-Core super beasty machine I thought I'd do a cost comparison. The bottom line is the Apple, for about the same hardware, costs only a little bit more ($6200 vs $5000). Is the extra $1200 worth it for the Apple OS and hardware? (I think so!)

The Apple Mac Pro Quad-Core ($6,184.94):
