Clustering

Anyone here ever mess with clustering? I'm trying to come up with a good reason to do so. It seems that there are a lot of technologies that come on LiveCD now and use Linux / FreeBSD to allow for distributed computing. Things that come to mind:

- Rendering
- Music production
- Searching for aliens

Call me a luddite, but I'm still crazy about old 35mm cameras. I am not sure what it is, but the simplicity of it, coupled with the feel of all senses involved is exciting. Case in point:

I just discovered a some of the comment-reply, etc emails from this website in my gmail spam folder. So, FYI, you may want to look in there and tell it "not spam".
